THE UNIQUE SPECIES OF GREECE

Our country hosts over 4,000 endemic animal species. These are species that are not found anywhere else in the world, and reproduce and live exclusively in specific areas of Greece. 50% of the freshwater fish, isopod and land snail species recorded in our country are endemic!
